What PARENTS are saying….
I have had three boys go through youth basketball in Howard County and I can tell you, Coach Nap is the best all-round coach we have ever seen. His practices are extremely well-organized and intense. He covers everything from skills to conditioning to mental attitude, always challenging his players to work their hardest. He balances the time focusing on both individual offensive and defensive skills and on team offense and defense. And yes, the kids still have fun! His dedication is legendary. He really cares about the kids — not only what they learn about how to play basketball, but also how they face adversity – on the court and in life.

My son Kevin spent 8 years with Coach Nap. Kevin learned so much during this time. He grew as an athlete, a leader, and a person. Kevin’s time with Bill has been one of the most defining experiences of his life. We attribute much of Kevin’s success off the court to lessons learned on the court from Coach Nap.
June Yu ( Kevin — 4.0 GPA, currently studying at Cornell University)
Coach Napolitano is a dedicated, hard working coach who has a passion for basketball. He spends countless hours in teaching and improving the basketball skills of many young athletes in Howard county. We as parents are very happy that we came across him. He is a role model for our son, Varun, both on and off the court and we are fortunate to have him as our son’s coach. He will remain as one of the most influential persons in our son’s life.
Santhini Ram (Varun – 4.0 GPA in HS and college)
Bill took a handful of rec players, including my son, and turned them into strong, confident, skilled players. My son ended up playing four years of high school basketball for Atholton High School. Without Bill’s help, he probably wouldn’t even have made the JV team. Bill worked with this group for over four years. As a result, they all played HS ball. Three of those players went on to play college ball.

I have watched coach Bill Nap coaching my son and others over the years. Their game is 100% better because of the confidence and trust that he has for every kid he coaches. He puts development above winning and will make you mad with his honesty.

We feel so lucky that Coach Nap has been able to coach two of our boys. Nap stresses the fundamentals of basketball and is focused on the boys becoming good high school basketball players. He tells it like it is to get the best out of the boys. Nap is a very dedicated coach and gives a lot of his time to his players.

As parents, our responsibility is to get our child into the best basketball program possible. Bill is a great role model, teacher and mentor for every kid that plays for him. I have seen good players become great players under his tutelage. He is known and respected throughout the basketball community, even in the toughest areas of competition regionally. I know I put my son in the best program possible for basketball and feel privileged to have had my son play for Bill for the last 6 years.

Coach Napolitano epitomizes the word commitment. He puts his heart and soul into the players he coaches and trains. During the past few years, his efforts to develop local Howard County players, like my son, resulted in local players receiving national attention. Bill gets every ounce of potential from players by treating each individual with dignity, respect, patience, and positive encouragement whether they are at the top of their game or in a slump.
